If dainty is more your style, you'll love this 14k-18k ring which has come our way via an estate sale.

It's a size 6 3/4 - 7, and features 6 single-cut diamonds of VS2 - Si-1 quality for a total carat weight in diamonds of 0.06ct, flanking a single round brilliant cut sapphire of 0.05ct. The sapphire is a rich dark blue, with a hint of violet and slightly grayish. It is of VS - Si1 clarity ... an excellent sapphire nestled amongst excellent diamonds and all stones giving off lots of sparkle.

The slender gold band is hallmarked 14k - 18k and is ever so slightly out of round. I don't believe there's enough gold in the band to resize up. Its ornate without being showy.

Like I said at the beginning, if your taste in rings is for daintiness and prettiness, this ring is one you should seriously consider for its value, antiquity and affordability.
